The
History of PASE: How it Started...
The idea
of PASE started in early 1995 by a group of professional engineers who
believed in having a network of Palestinian engineers united together
under one organization that is non-profit and non-political. There are
a significant number of Palestinian American engineers in the United
States, but no single professional institution to represent them. For
example, in the metropolitan of Chicago, there are at least one thousand Palestinian
engineers. We felt like we needed an organization to bring us closer
together to promote our network capabilities socially and professionally
with other fellow engineers. Our aim is to secure a job for every Palestinian
engineer in North America and assist engineering students from the homeland
to pursue their higher education in the United States. The first chapter
of PASE was founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, by 25 engineers. Afterwards,
PASE chapters were established in Boston, Chicago, New York, and New
Jersey. Without all of you, PASE would not exist. We would like to thank
everyone who backed and supported PASE. It was a real team work. Special thanks
to the Boston Chapter for spending a great amount of
time and effort in creating and finalizing the PASE Bylaws. PASE is
from you and for you. You can help this organization grow by joining
us. Your participation is vital to our success.
